SAT, MARCH 21 2020-theG&BJournal-Passengers traveling from the Muritala International Airport, Lagos, Nigeria to the United States of America are now being advised to seek alternative dates but must do so on or before June 1, 2020.
The Airline is grounding their US flights from Nigeria due to the US ban on travelers worldwide because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Lufthansa has not made an official statement to the effect but theG&BJournal confirmed the development Friday from some passengers scheduled to visit the US for various reasons.
The German airline earlier in the month grounded 150 aircraft out of its total fleet of around 770 due to the coronavirus.
Lufthansa Group airlines, which include Swiss, Brussels and Austrian airlines, said early March when the COVID-19 began spreading globally, that it would reduce the number of short-and medium-haul flights by up to 25% depending on how coronavirus spreads.
