JULY 4, 2016 – Swansea City are set to make Leroy Fer their first summer signing after agreeing a fee reported to be £4.75m for him with Queens Park Rangers.
Fer made nine appearances on loan with the Swans last season and is expected to sign a permanent deal on Tuesday.
The Netherlands midfielder, 26, had a year to run on his QPR contract but had stated his desire to remain with Francesco Guidolin’s team.
Swansea are also expected to conclude a deal for Ajax’s Mike van der Hoorn.
Defender Hoorn, a Netherlands U21 international, is understood to have agreed personal terms.
Fer joined QPR on a three-year deal from Norwich City in August 2014 for a reported £8m.
He was part of the Rangers side relegated from the Premier League in 2014-15 and was also relegated with Norwich in the previous campaign.
Swansea will go into the 2016-17 season under a new ownership set-up after an American consortium bought a controlling stake in the club.
