LCCI set for the 35th edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair

TUE 26 OCT, 2021-theGBJournal- The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the premier Chamber of Commerce and a leading voice of the Organised Private Sector (OPS) in Nigeria, is set to host the 35th edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair with the theme: Connecting Businesses, Creating Value.

The Opening Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday 5thNovember 2021at 10am at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, Lagos. While the Closing Ceremony is slated for Sunday 14th November 2021at the same venue at 3pm prompt. The Trade Fair will run for a total of ten (10) days.

Dr.Chinyere Almona, Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), said: “In addition to the general interest fair, the annual international business event will feature the Business-2-Business meetings simultaneously with the fair. There will also be the Africa Day Celebration at the same venue. The focus this year is to encourage intra-African trade and position Africa as the preferred investment destination and an economic powerhouse.”

Almona added, “The exhibition will also facilitate networking amongst exhibitors and between exhibitors and visitors. The fair is expected to attract many visitors seeking to take advantage of the networking opportunities and discounted prices. Corporate organizations, including Multinational Corporations, Indigenous Conglomerates, Financial Institutions, and SMEs have indicated interest in participating at the fair.

Almona also emphasized that relevant agencies and departments of the Government will be available to exhibit and attend to other exhibitors and visitors. She stated that agencies that have confirmed attendance to provide information and educate exhibitors and visitors are the Bank of Industry (BOI), Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Federal Institute of Research, Oshodi (FIIRO), NAFDAC, Corporate Affairs Commission, amongst others.

Almona stated that “the fair has generated considerable excitement and we are indeed happy about the strategic engagement with our partners.”
