WED, MAY 22 2019-theG&BJournal-The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the premier Chamber of Commerce and a leading voice in the organised private sector (OPS) in Nigeria, is set to host a Russian-Nigerian Business Forum. The Forum, which is aimed at receiving trade and business delegations from Russia, is intended at creating a platform for Russian Technology firms to interact with their Nigerian counterparts in order to discuss possible collaborations and partnerships in the technological space as a launch-pad for the forthcoming and much talked-about Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The forum is to be declared open by the President of the Chamber, Mr. Babatunde Paul Ruwase, FCA on Thursday 23rd May, 2019at Commerce House, 1, Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, Lagos from 9am prompt. The business forum will examine issues related to Robotics, Artificial intelligence, Customer insights, big data and analytics, eCommerce &mCommerce, Employee management solutions, Fraud & loss prevention, Store operations such as cash management, epos solutions, self-checkout, Virtual reality and augmented reality and scanners.
Muda Yusuf, Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said:“the forum will further focus on the importance of working out mechanism for favourable conditions for direct contacts between Nigerian businessmen and their Russian counterparts and that the goal is to open Russia for Nigeria to explore and vice versa. So, special attention would be given to the level of business engagements between the two countries and the enormous opportunities, which both countries can take advantage of for business prosperity.”
Yusuf also said the forum is also aimed at examining issues related to technological innovations which could enhance the generation of energy, food production, construction, transportation, communication and manufacturing. The event also targets the importance of utilizing technology along with the capabilities they represent to strengthen bilateral economic relations between the two countries.
The forum would attract key players in the tech space. The Consul General of the Embassy of the Federation of Russia, as well as its Economic Counsellor are expected as the Special Guests of Honor and will deliver the keynote speeches at the event.
