THUR, JAN 30 2020-theG&BJournal-The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) yesterday published Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) report at State level for Q3 2019.
The report shows that the 36 states and FCT IGR figure hit N986.29bn in 9 Months compared to N692.49bn recorded in H1 2019.
Similarly, the Q3 2019 states and FCT IGR figure stood at N293.80bn compared to N392.38bn recorded in Q2 2019. This indicates a negative growth of 25.12% quarter on quarter.
Seven (7) states recorded growth in IGR while Thirty (30) states and the FCT recorded decline in IGR at the end of Q3 2019.
Lagos state has the highest Internally Generated Revenue with N297.09bn recorded, closely followed by Rivers with N107.03bn. FCT and Ogun states generated N55,722,866,844.15 and N52,869,973,737.42 while Delta State and Kaduna state earned N49,510,033,951.08 and N28,148,559,525.35 respectively in the period under review.
At N3,343,282,492.86, Yobe State recorded the least Internally Generated revenue.
