MON. 23 JANUARY, 2023-theGBJournal| Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Sunday, had dismissed as false a newspaper report that the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello had dumped his party’s Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Bello in a tweet Sunday seen by theG&BJournal, laid the question of his loyalty to Tinubu and his running mate to rest when he wrote, ”kindly disregard every fake news being spread by mischievous media outlets” He added, ”my unwavering support for Tinubu/Shettima 2023 is 100% undiluted.”

The APC called the report published by the Sunday Tribune as ”maliciously false and a figment of the imagination of its author and sponsors.”

The APC suggested that the report was intended to float an imagined rift between Governor Bello and James Faleke, Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

Governor Bello currently serves as the National Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.
