Kenya’s premier business TV channel, Fanaka TV launches the country’s first Facebook & Twitter live news show

TUE, NOVEMBER 27 2018-theG&BJournal-Kenya has one of the most vibrant internet spaces in the world. Internet access has grown by over 85% in the last 20 years. Statistics show that in the year 2000 only 200,000 people had access to the internet in the country. Today that number has tremendously grown to 43 million people. Facebook alone had 7 million users in Kenya as at December of 2017.

Against this backdrop that Fanaka TV has launched the country’s first ever FaceBook & Twitter live news show, targeting the fleet footed online audience which is looking for indepth, bite sized information created with great creativity and innovation.

As a a fully fledged TV station we are cognisant of the fact that TV audiences are beginning to consume their content differently and we know that the digital audience now demands content that’s specifically created in the formats they want, in the places they are in, provide real time engagement and instant feedback. We are giving our audiences news they can use”. Said Terryanne Chebet, CEO of Fanaka TV.

The Fanaka Live business show will run everyday from Monday to Thursday at 11.00am and at 4.00pm will cover a variety of news, tips, and interviews that will provide our audience with news they can use. We will share Information on starting a business, investing in stocks and bonds, agribusiness, innovation and tech, and so much more.
