SAT NOV 15 2025-theGBJournal| Governor Uba Sani hosted a Special Town Hall Meeting Friday to present the Proposed 2026 Multi-Year Budget of N985.9 billion, consisting of N699.7 billion (71%) in capital expenditure and N286.2 billion (29%) in recurrent spending.

The budget is themed ”Consolidating Rural Transformation for Inclusive Development.”

Stakeholders from traditional institutions, civil society, religious bodies, youth groups, persons with disabilities, and the private sector provided constructive inputs and commended the Governor for the successful implementation of the 2025 Budget.

The Governor also showcased a two-year performance scorecard and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening institutions, improving service delivery, and driving the 2026 agenda through expanded infrastructure and human capital development.

The crucial gathering is a significant step towards fostering greater transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in the state’s financial planning, underscoring the state government’s commitment to the core tenets of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) and effective Public Financial Management.

The Town Hall equally provided a vital platform for citizens to review the proposed financial blueprint and validate the inputs previously submitted, ensuring the budget accurately reflects the collective needs and priorities of all residents.

The initiative aligns directly with the campaign manifesto of the Senator Uba Sani administration, which prioritizes citizen participation in governance.

”Transparency and accountability are not just buzzwords; they are the foundation of effective governance.

We are dedicated to ensuring that every citizen has a voice in shaping the financial direction of Kaduna State” the Kaduna State Director of the Planning and Budget Commission said.

”We strongly encourage everyone to attend and contribute to this vital democratic exercise.”
