THUR, JUN 04 2020-theG&BJournal-The Kaduna State Government said Thursday that clear guidelines for the reopening of approved sectors of the State’s economy will be published before the current Quarantine Order expires on Tuesday, 9th June 2020. The guidelines will spell out what is required and the measures to be taken in the economic and social sectors that will reopen.
The Chair, State Task Force on COVID-19 and Deputy Governor Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe said in a statement that the government has been encouraged by the response from the stakeholders consulted.
‘’They engaged constructively with the discussion documents we circulated and have made very insightful and creative contribution,’’ Sabuwa Balarabe said. ‘’The recommendations and suggestions that have emerged from the consultations will help to strengthen the reopening strategy.’’
The Deputy Governor said the draft guidelines and discussion documents shared with the stakeholders will be improved with inputs received.
Meanwhile, markets, places of worship, schools and other facilities whose operations are prohibited under the Quarantine Order will shut until the approved protocols are announced next week.
The State Governor, Malam El-Rufai met members of the Kaduna State Traditional Rulers’ Council today as well, as part of the State’s consultations with stakeholders on the conditions for safe reopening of the State.
