Nigerian Army has asked Ojogbane Adegbe, aide de camp to former President Goodluck Jonathan to return to his promotional military course in the United Kingdom.
Adegbe was earlier recalled to Nigeria on February 10, by the army provost marshal following allegations of his involvement in the $2.1 billion arms deal involving the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
A reliable source had informed that Adegbe’s release back to the UK is an effort by the army authorities to enable him complete his promotional course abroad.
The Royal College of Defence Studies, United Kingdom, where Adegbe is studying had earlier written to the colonel stating that he would be taken back to continue his studies once he was released by the Nigerian army.
Adegbe’s return to his studies comes one month after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) released him from a prolonged detention on the orders of an Abuja High Court.
The court’s order came after Adegbe filed a suit against the commission over a prolonged infringement on his fundamental human rights.
