FRI, APRIL 13 2018-theG&BJournal-“It was my great honour to fire James Comey ( the former US FBI Director) President Trump ended his first tweet in response to Comey’s suggestion in an ABC News interview that it is ‘possible” that allegations about the president and prostitutes in Moscow are true.

Comey’s ABC News interview comes before his  yet to be released memoir,  ‘‘A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership, in which he described the president as an ‘unethical’ liar who operates like a mob boss.

Trump in his second tweet slammed Comey as an ”untruthful slime ball, a proven leaker and liar. The 304-page tell-all memoire by Comey, which is already NO 1 on Amazon.com and due to be released Tuesday outlined mostly Comey’s dealings with Trump, his time as FBI director, the Clinton email case and events leading up to his firing, according US media reports.

POLITICO reports that in his interview with ABC News, Comey recounted his initial interactions with the president regarding a notorious Russia dossier, which was compiled by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele and which later public reports showed was funded in part by the Democratic National Committee and the campaign of Hillary Clinton. The dossier alleged that the Russian government had secretly filmed Trump with the prostitutes in order to have compromising material on him to use as leverage.

The former FBI Director told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that the January, 2017, briefing he gave the then-president elect about his alleged rendezvous with prostitutes inside a Moscow hotel was ”really weird” and ”almost an out-of-body experience.” During the one-on-one briefing, Comey said Trump responded ”very defensively and ”started talking about, ‘do I look like a guy who needs hookers?”’

In an ABC segment aired that Friday, Stephanopolos also asked Comey if he had disclosed to Trump the source of funding of the doser, compiled by Christopher Steel. Comey said, ”No, I didn’t even think I used the term Steele dossier,”  adding, ”I don’t know the answer to that. It wasn’t necessary for my goal, which is to alert him we have this information.”

White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway called the Comey book ”a revisionist view of history” and accused Comey of taking unnecessary immature pot-shots.

According to the Washington Post, the allegation in Trump’s tweets about Comey leaking classified information appears to be a reference to Comey passing along to a friend a memo about his interactions after Trump fired him. The former FBI Director has said that some of the memos he wrote after meeting with Trump included classified material but that the one he passed to a friend did not.

Trump Fired Comey, a registered Republican for most of adult life, in May 2017 in act that has been under scrutiny by special counsel Robert S. Mueller 111.
