MON, MAR 25 2024-theGBJournal|The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) have advised intending pilgrims that still wish to participate in the 2024 Hajj to pay a balance of N1,918,032.91, latest by 11.59 pm of 28th March 2024.
The Hajj Commission had initially set the price at N4.9 million. The latest addition takes the total to be paid by any intending pilgrim to N6.8 million.
The Commission cites the exchange rate and the late remittance of Hajj fare by ”those concerned,” as the trigger for the increase.
The affected pilgrims are also advised to visit respective state pilgrims boards to confirm their status.
So far, pilgrims from 12 states have for a total of 6,541 seats.
