WED, 03 AUG, 2022-theGBJournal| The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) registered 12,298,944 Nigerians in Q-4, WK 16 2022, according to data published by the Commission Monday.
INEC said Fresh Registrants within the period totaled 10,487,972. 3,444,378 completed their registration online while 8,854,566 registered physically.
A break down of the demography of registrants shows that within the period, 6,074,078 males where registered, female registered reached 6,224,866.
87,083 people with disability (PWDs) were registered while 8,784,677 million youths were clocked.
Across the country, five states topping online voter registration are Osun State with 798, 968 registered voters, Delta State 642, 261, Lagos State 639, 822, Kaduna State 574, 724 and Bayelsa State with 551, 451.
For completed registration, Lagos State tops with 585, 629, closely followed by Kano State with 569,103, Delta State with 523, 517. Rivers State 473, 924 with completed registration while Bayelsa State and Oyo State registered voters is reported at 444,652 and 396,229 respectively.
The Continuous Voter Registration exercise ended on 31st July 2022, and INEC says it has no intention of extending the exercise anymore.
