INEC fixes date for collection of permanent voters’ cards

SAT. 03 DEC, 2022-theGBJournal| The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Monday 12th December 2022 to Sunday 22nd January 2023 as dates for the collection of permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) in all 774 Local Government Offices of the Commission throughout Nigeria.

”All eligible and valid registrants can collect their PVCS FROM 9.00am to 3.00pm daily including Saturdays and Sundays,” the Commission said in a statement signed by its National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye.

The Commission announced the date after its regular meeting Friday. The Commission also resolved at the meeting to devolve PVCs collection to the 8,809 Registration areas and Wards from Friday 6th to Sunday 15th January 2023.

The Commission urged those that are unable to collect the PVCs from its Local Government Offices to collect at Registrations Areas/Electoral Wards.

It said that after the 15th of January 2023, the exercise will revert to the Local Government offices of the Commission until 22nd January 2023.
