MON, JUN 29 2020-theG&BJournal- The Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, Dr. Victor Osiatuma, has unveiled a list of zonal intervention projects at the hospital initiated and executed by Hon Joan Onyemaechi Mrakpor, during her time as a member of the House of Representatives.
The completion of the projects some of which he described as massive will boost the quality of medical care at the hospital.
Two of the major projects which are ongoing include, a two storey building designed to serve as a Modern Amenity Ward in the hospital and a gigantic three-storey building, with 40 apartments, all en suite, to serve as staff quarters.
When Mrs. Mrakpor who is currently the Director General of Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), recently visited the hospital to see some sickle cell patients, Dr. Osiatuma, paid tribute to the former law maker, noting that that patients and staff will have a more clement environment when the two projects are completed.
Among the projects executed in the hospital by Hon. Joan Onyemaechi Mrakpor are: construction of modern Amenity Ward; construction of male and female staff quarters; landscaping, drainage and beautification of FMC and equipping of the modern Amenity Ward.
Others are medical outreach to the disabled and provision of wheelchair in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency; vaccination for Cervical Cancer and Hepatitis B also in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State.
