APRIL. 11 2023-theGBJournal |  The House of Representative Ad-Hoc Committee on oil theft has expressed concern on the disparity in figures from crude oil sales from 2011 to 2014, and reacted by inviting high-ranking Federal Government  officials to provide explanation.

The Committee is investigating alleged loss of more than $2.4 billion in revenue from  illegal sale of 48 million barrels of crude oil export  in 2015.

The Committee is also holding responsible the Minister of Finance for approving payments to whistle-blowers in variance with the whistle blower policy.

Among the high-ranking officials invited are MS Zaniab Shamsuna Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Secretary of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the acting Accountant General general of the Federation, Sylva Okolieaboh and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
