FRI, MAY 22 2020-theG&BJournal- The Nigeria House of Representatives has set up an Ad-Hoc COVID-19 Committee in response to the havoc wreaked on the health and socioeconomic lives by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Committee’s set up was echoed Thursday by the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 Boss Mustapha during the PTF daily situation update.
‘’In deepening the existing collaborative spirit, we shall work together with the legislature to be more productive and add value to the overall delivery of service to Nigerians on behalf of whom we hold our responsibility in trust,’’ Mustapha assured.
Meanwhile, the PTF Chairman underscored the need for the Governors to provide personal and strong leadership, and carry the policy of community ownership to the grass roots and create deeper awareness while imploring them to adhere to the strong advisory from the PTF against large gatherings beyond twenty persons, which he says remains prohibited.
