BIRNIN KEBBI, AUGUST 25, 2016 – The Zauro General Hospital, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi has offered free treatment to 10,000 patients afflicted by epileptic and psychiatric diseases in the state.This was disclosed by Dr Abdulfatai Bakare, a Consultant and Psychiatrist from the Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Birnin Kebbi.
Bakare said he led the team of psychiatrists that treated the patients and those with other related health cases in the hospital.
He appealed to the residents of the state to convey those suffering from other ailments to places designated for treatment.
“There is the need for the public to assist patients suffering from epilepsy and psychiatric to general hospital for treatment and free drugs service, ‘’ he said.
Bakare commended the state government for providing free drugs to the patients.
He also commended the members of the Zakat and Sadaqat board for their commitment and dedication toward the success of the exercise.
He called on well-to-do individuals and philanthropists to assist the victims to access effective health care service.
