Hope Uzodinma in early lead in Imo, says electoral process has been commendably seamless

SUN, NOV 12 2023-theGBJournal|Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently in an early lead in Imo State as the results of the November 11th governorship election in Imo State begin to trickle in.

Reports from the State say the Governor has been leading in most of the polling units in the constituency since voting began in the early hours of Saturday in the State.

The size of his lead is yet to be confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as at press time.

The election in the State has been largely peacefull, and the INEC officials were seen at the polling units to ensure a free and fair election.

The Governor and his wife Chioma Uzodinma cast their votes at polling unit 032 in Ekwenja Okwu Ozuh Omuma ward, Imo State.

”The electoral process has been commendably seamless and I appreciate INEC Nigeria and her officials for their efforts in ensuring a smooth election, same goes to our security agencies for guaranteeing safety across the State,” Uzodinma said shortly after casting his vote.
