MON AUG 05 2024-theGBJournal| The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has directed the State’s Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Ministry of Information and Strategy and Office of Civic Engagement to immediately open wider channels of engagement with various stakeholders, including the protest leaders.
The State Government consequently provided the contact information of the Executive Council members in charge of the Ministries to be reached.

The State Government on Sunday issued a statement suggesting that protesters in Lagos announced an end to their action following the broadcast by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
However, organizers of the protests in a statement by Hassan Taiwo, Ayoyinka Oni and Adegboyega Adeniji, on behalf of the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria, said that they will converge again at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, Ojota, Lagos today to continue their demonstration.
The orgnizers had expressed dissatisfaction on the President Bola Tinubu’s broadcast on Sunday aimed at the protesters, describing it as ”unfortunate.”
”We therefore call on all Nigerian youth and mass of the people to join us by 7 am at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, Ojota, Lagos, which is Day 5 of the protest,” the organzers said.
