Governor Bago urges Muslims to embody the virtues of Prophet Muhammad, sustain prayers for leaders, society on Eid-El-Maulud occasion

FRI SEPT 05 2025-theGBJournal| As Muslims across the globe commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, calls on them to strive to embody the virtues of the Holy Prophet.

In a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, the farmer governor stresses that the period is not only a time for celebration but also for deep reflection for all Muslims.

He reminds them of the need to uphold the significance of the Eid-El-Maulud celebration, which reinforces spiritual renewal, unity, acts of charity, and others.

The farmer governor says the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is a gift and blessing to all adherents of Islam, as his coming brought about guidance and divine revelation of the Holy Quran to humanity.

He observes that the Holy Prophet lived an exemplary life of humility, compassion, kindness, sacrifice, integrity, justice, and commitment, among others, which are worthy of emulation.

While congratulating all Muslims on the Eid-el-Maulud celebration, Farmer Governor Umaru Bago urges them to use the period and make new commitments that would enhance their understanding of Islamic teachings for a sustained peaceful coexistence with all and sundry.

He encourages them to pray for the President and all other leaders in the political, religious, and traditional circles for Allah’s wisdom, guidance, and protection for better service delivery.

The Governor charges them to also pray for a lasting peace and prosperity across Niger State in particular and Nigeria in general.

Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago reaffirms his commitment to building a new Niger that would bring about socioeconomic transformation to all.
