DUTSE, JULY 8, 2016 – Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa has assured the people of the state that his administration would do everything possible to continue to secure lives and properties.

Badaru stated this in Dutse on Friday when he received the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Sunusi, and other district heads, who paid Sallah homage to Government House.

He appealed to the emir to urge his subjects to endure the current economic hardship, pointing out that President Muhammadu Buhari was working to revamp the nation`s economy.

The governor noted that the present administration inherited the economic problems from its predecessor, adding that the crisis would soon be resolved.

Badaru stated that his administration had decided to shift from subsistence agriculture to commercial farming so as to provide jobs for the people and improve food and livestock production.

He urged citizens to imbibe the moral lessons from the just concluded Ramadan fast while engaging in sober reflections.

The governor thanked the emir and his people for the support and cooperation he had received from them.

In his speech, Sunusi said that he was in Government House to pay Sallah homage to the governor and to thank him for maintaining peace and security in the state.

Sanusi congratulated the governor and the people of Jigawa for successfully completing the Ramadan and for the support the Dutse Emirate had been receiving from the present administration.

He commended the governor for the completion of some inherited projects that the former administration initiated but could not finish.
