TUE, JULY 07 2020-theG&BJournal– Givefood.ng have now donated over 200,000 meals in less than 3 months of operation, ‘’an impactful milestone and a great achievement of all our partners and sponsors,’’ according to Givefood.ng.
This puts the initiative well on track to exceed its target of providing 1 million meals to those most in desperate need as health and government officials continue to deliver a strong coordinated response towards curtailing COVID-19 in the country.
Givefood.ng said the initiative will continue to leverage technology and existing food supply chains to dramatically scale the great work of grass-roots level community and religious organizations.
To increase support from anyone in the Nigerian diaspora as well as open-hearted international community, Givefood.ng have implemented a PayPal payment option across all Givefood.ng platforms, thanks to this improvement more people can share their resources seamlessly.
Another key milestone is Givefood.ng partnership with Coca-Cola. Givefood.ng has joined forces with Coca-Cola ‘’to ensure we feed more Nigerian families in desperate need.’’
‘’As a coalition partner Coca-Cola will help spread the word about the GiveFood.ng initiative, using its superior marketing experience and help provide proper hydration to the recipients of food packs within the initiative,’’ Givefood.ng said.
Coalition founder Kola Masha, CEO of Babban Gona, said: “We are very proud of these set of achievements. The massive support we have received from individuals and organisations has been exceptional and is the root of our initiative’s success thus far. I believe that in no time, we will distribute 1 million meals and be active all across Nigeria. I would like to encourage all well-meaning Nigerians to visit www.givefood.ng and donate. We have included more payment options to make it easier to donate from the comfort and safety of your homes. All donations go towards feeding disadvantaged people in the community of your choice. Together we can alleviate the suffering of many low-income Nigerian families during this uncertain times.”
