MON APRIL 15 2024-theGBJournal| Dozens of trucks, each laden with 33,000 litres of diesel rolled out today from the diesel loading cantry at Dangote Refinery complex for onward distribution across the country.
This comes barely two weeks after the refiner set one million litres purchasable limit for each marketer.
The product is also expected to be distributed by sea from its single mooring facility, a development many sees as a huge win for Nigeria and consumers as well.
Nigeria is projected to save up to $17 billion annually as the roll outs intensify.
Aliko Dangote, the Refinery owner said recently that his company has the ability to sell the diesel at significantly discounted prices to relieve Nigeria’s inflation.
The product is currently priced at about N1,300 per litre after Dangote rolled out its product at N1,200.
