THUR 10 JUNE, 2021-theGBJournal- The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 14, a public holiday to mark the 2021 Democracy Day.
The national public holiday celebrated annually on June 12 falls on a Saturday this year, prompting the new date. The holiday is also to mark the annulment of June 12, 1993 election widely acknowledged to been won by late MKO Abiola.
It will be recalled that in June 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari moved the celebration usually held on May 29th to June 12.
