MON, JUNE 26 2023-theGBJournal |The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing have announced the suspension of construction work on the ever busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway from Tuesday, 27th June to Sunday 2nd July, 2023, to allow travelers easy passage during the Eid holiday.
In a statement issued by Mrs. O.I Kesha, Federal Controller of Lagos, Lagos, the Ministry said construction activities will resume by Monday, 3rd July, 2023.
The Ministry said the suspension is due to the recent heavy traffic flow being experienced on the Lagos-Shagamu route in the last couple of days, the inclement weather conditions, the forthcoming Eid Kabir and the advice of the traffic management team deployed to manage traffic related issues on the project.
