TUE 22 FEB, 2022-theGBJournal- The Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), led by the Minister, Dr E. Osagie Ehanire and Novo Nordisk has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the iCARE initiative in Nigeria, part of the Ministry’s commitment to make life meaningful to Nigerians living with Diabetes.
The iCARE initiative seeks to provide holistic Diabetes care and safeguard insulin to two most vulnerable groups in Nigeria. Children living with type 1 Diabetes and senior/retires living with Diabetes and have limited income for Diabetes care.
Dr Ehanire said ‘’this intervention is expected to cover all levels of healthcare in Nigeria and its implementation shall also be across all the geopolitical zones of the country.’’
