THUR, SEPT 28 2023-theGBJournal |The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has sacked 21 heads of parastatals, agencies and government companies, with immediate effect.
According to a statement released Wednesday by the Director of Press at the Office of the Minister, Anthony Ogunleye, ”they are all to hand over the affairs of their offices to the most senior officers in rank”
The Heads sacked include the MD/CEO of the Abuja Investment Company, CEO of Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company, Abuja Markets Management, Abuja Property Development Company as well as the head of the Abuja Technology Village Free Trade Zone Company.
Others are the head of Abuja Enterprise Agency, Abuja Broadcasting Corporation, FCT Primary Healthcare Board, Director General, Hospital Management Board, FCT Scholarship Board, Director Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board as well as Director Muslim Pilgrims Board and Coordinator, Abuja Infrastructure Investment Center among others.
The Minister offered no reasons for their sacking but said ”appointments into the offices will be made in due course.”
