Facebook to Present 10-Year Roadmap at Developer Event in Lagos

LAGOS, AUGUST 9, 2016 – Facebook is hosting a Facebook for Developers workshop for Nigerian engineers, product managers and partners in Lagos on 31 August to help them build better applications and monetise them more effectively.The session will be jam-packed with valuable practical advice and detailed information about how developers can take advantage of the latest features of the Facebook Platform, Bots on Messenger and Open Source development tools.

In addition, Ime Archibong, Facebook’s director of Global Product Partnerships, will share Facebook’s ten-year roadmap and the important role of Africa in achieving the mission.

The event will be split into three workshop streams including: reaching your audience with Bots on Messenger; building fast and reliable login flows with Account Kit and making your apps globally accessible with React Native.

The Facebook Product Partnerships, and Engineering teams will provide attendees with hands-on instruction via code-labs, tech-talks, and updates on the latest Facebook Platform products, all designed to help developers build and grow a successful business. The talk will conclude with an open Q&A.
