SUN 21 FEB, 2021-theGBJournal- Close sources tell theGBJournal that the kidnapped students, staff and family members of Government Science College Kagara as well as the NSTA bus passengers has been freed.
‘’The State Government (Niger State) will be making a statement to the effect this evening,’’ one source familiar with the development said.
The State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State had assured Friday that the abductees will be freed soon following interfacing with security agencies, community leaders and relevant people.
27 students, three staff and family members of the school were kidnapped last week Wednesday.
‘’Their release is huge relief to family members and parents as well as the State Government, and the State Governor will ensure that there will be no repeat of this type of dastardly act again,’’ our source said.
