The Counsel said today that Emefiele is requesting a public apology from Akpabio also, for his recent remarks regarding the former CBN governor’s time in office.
Akpabio has been critical of Emefiele’s performance in office and recently blamed him ”for the kind of debts and economic mess that we are in because of the policies he carried out during his time in office.”
Akpabio added that Emefiele’s sins” were so much that the Federal Government didn’t know what to charge him to court for.
Emefiele has been in the custody of the country’s security agencies since he was removed from office, and one of the pending cases against him is the ”illegal” disbursement of $6,230,000 to international election observers among many others.
