SUN, MARCH 10 2019-theG&BJournal-Ethiopian Airlines plane has come down South East of the capital six minutes after take-off, with the loss of all crew and passengers. The wreckage of the aircraft was found in Bishoftu, 2 hours from the capital.
The aircraft lost contact with air traffic control shortly after take-off. It was on a scheduled flight to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi from Addis Ababa. The Ethiopian prime minister twitted condolences shortly after the crash today.
The Airlines is the largest carrier in the continent with significant fleet including Boeing Dreamliners.
The aircraft, Boeing 737, flight ET 302 was scheduled to arrive Nairobi 10.30 am local time.
