WED, JAN 15 2020-theG&BJournal- The entire Russian government resigned Wednesday to make way for new constitutional changes announced earlier by President Vladimir Putin.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev handed his resignation and a new Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the head of Russia’s Tax Service has since stepped in to replace Medvedev as the new Prime Minister.
News of the resignation came shortly after Putin addressed the country’s lawmakers. Putin revealed the constitutional changes to the nation during the address, changes that pushed greater powers to the Prime Minister and the parliament
