WED, MAR 06 2024-theGBJournal| The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaibu has been served with a notice of impeachment by the State House of Assembly.
The Impeachment notice was signed on Wednesday by 21 out of 24 members of the Edo State House of Assembly, and the House seeks his response with 7 days.
The Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku directed the clerk to serve impeachment notice to the Deputy Governor.
The Deputy Governor has been at loggerheads with his boss, Governor Godwin Obaseki, for a while now, since Shuaibu raised an alarm of a thickening plot to remove him from office.
