Ecuador Respect Petroleum Production Cut, Ambassador of Ecuador tells Kachikwu

ABUJA, JANUARY 13, 2017 – Ambassador of Ecuador to Nigeria, HE Leopoldo Rovayo Verdesoto, met with Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, Hon. Minister of State for Petroleum on Thursday, 12 January 2017.

The two executive’s analyses some of the OPEC meetings year 2016, including the recent achievements of OPEC and participating non-OPEC oil producing countries on production cut which has led to increase in crude oil price. The Ambassador said that Ecuador respect the production cut.

Ambassador described the important leadership provided by Secretary General of OPEC HE Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo as excellent and one that is historic.

Also to strengthen the bilateral relations with Nigeria, Ambassador informed the Honorable Minister that he is pushing hard to get companies in Ecuador to do business with Nigeria Oil and Gas sector.

Dr. Kachikwu who was elated with the visit said, ‘I hope to have more contact with Ecuador in the future’.
