SAT SEPT 27 2025-theGBJournal| Ecobank Transnational Incorporated Friday announced it has completed the sale of its stake in Ecobank Mozambique S.A. to FDH Bank Plc, concluding the strategic transaction announced on August 5th, 2025.
The transaction, first revealed on August 5, 2025, has now received all necessary regulatory approvals, and marks Ecobank’s full divestment from Mozambique.
”With this completion, FDH Bank Plc assumes full ownership and operational responsibility of the bank that was formerly owned in Mozambique by Ecobank,” the pan-African bank said.
Ecobank said the divestment is part of its strategic decision to streamline operations and strengthen its business portfolio across key markets.
