TUE, JANUARY 29 2019-theG&BJournal-The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has published revised drafts of its good governance policies and has invited the public to offer comments on key documents.
Last year the EBRD initiated a review of three of its good governance policies: its Environment and Social Policy, Public Information Policy and Project Complaint Mechanism.
‘’The review process entails taking into account the lessons learned from personal experience, changes in international practice and consultation with stakeholders,’’ the Bank said in release published yesterday.
EBRD said it is now initiating a 45-day public consultation period to seek public input before finalising the policies.
The policies available for public comment are: The Environment and Social Policy (ESP) guides the EBRD’s commitment to promoting “environmentally sound and sustainable development” in the full range of its investment and technical cooperation activities.
