MON OCT 06 2025-theGBJournal| The E1 powerboat World Championship ended on Sunday, with Team Brazil flipping the script to get their first ever win.

The E1 powerboats fly through Lagos waters

Timmy Hansen and leva Millere-Hagin delivered the goods for Team Brazil after an exciting weekend of racing on Lagos waters.

”Beyond the competition, the E1 Lagos GP represented our city’s commitment to innovation, clean energy, and sustainable development.

It was inspiring to see Lagos take its place on the global stage as a city that embraces progress and possibility,” said Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

”I am proud of what we achieved this weekend and even more confident about the future we are building for Lagos.”

The competition in Lagos, Nigeria, marks a milestone in E1 global expansion as Lagos became the first city in African to host the championship.

The championship season finale takes place in Miami, Florida next month.
