Delta State Governor hails Nigerian Army for cooperating with security agencies on security challenges in the state

MON, MARCH 02 2020-theG&BJournal-  ‘’I thank the Chief of Army Staff for bringing this Brigade to Delta State. I thank your officers who have cooperated with other sister security agencies in the Sae in helping us achieve peace we enjo,’’ the Governor told the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Burata and his crew during the inauguration of the 63 Brigade Headquarters of the Nigerian Army in Asaba.
He urged the army and other security agencies to intensify efforts in resolving frequent dispute between farmers and herders across the state in order to help achieve peace.
Earlier, Buratai had commended the governor for his interest in the security of lives and property which led to the donation of the land and structures for the 63 Brigade Headquarter.
He disclosed that a lot was put into consideration before the Brigade was established.
 
The COAS stated that the brigade had been operationalised and thanked Okowa and all Deltans for their support and hospitality.
He disclosed that the achievements of Operation Crocodile Smile 4 showed that a lot could be achieved in maintaining peace in the country.
