Delta leads in Petroleum Industry Act discuss, says Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Amgbaduba

MON, 20 JUNE, 2022-theGBJournal| Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba has said the state is in the forefront of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) discourse.

Amgbaduba made the remark recently when he played host to the NUPENG Chairman of Warri Zone, Comrade Emmanuel Emebradu, the National PRO, Comrade Cogent Ojobor and members of his cabinet.

He said other state had come and still coming to under study the Delta State model so as to implement same in their various states.

Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba said he had held several meetings with all the oil companies operating in the state on the PIA and that the progress report had been encouraging.

He went further to inform the NUPENG chairman that he went as far as making a presentation at the House of Representatives, Abuja and also at the Olu of Warri Palace.

The commissioner told the NUPENG chairman that his office welcome constructive criticism and any ideas that could compliment the giant stride his office had recorded on the issues.

Comrade Ojebo highlighted Delta State’s desire to be at the forefront of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) discourse being a key player in the oil and gas sector.

The meeting which held at the Prof Edozien Secretariat had also in attendance the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs Gladys Purgeren and directors.
