SAT, SEPT 29 2018-theG&BJournal-Delta State governorship candidate Pat Utomi has raised grave concerns about the integrity of the state primary scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 30 September, after the APC leadership in the state ignored severally his request to furnish his campaign with the guidelines, delegate list and venue of the primary election.
‘’The inquiry of my campaign in the last few days on the afore-mentioned issues from our Delta State APC Secretariat has not yielded any result. It therefore seems to me that there is a deliberate effort to make the governorship primary to either fail or to achieve some pre-determined outcomes in favour of particular aspirants,’’ Utomi said in a letter he sent to the State Chairman of APC, Prophet Jones Ode Erue and copied the National chairman.
Utomi said the State Exco of the party must act and be seen to be an unbaised umpire, and must therefore create a level playing field for all aspirants, including me.
‘’I urge you to, without fail, provide to me before 1:00pm today, 29 September 2018, the venue, guidelines and list of delegate to the governorship primary election of APC Delta State. I trust you will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves,’’ Utomi said.
