FRI, APRIL 03 2020-theG&BJournal- Coronavirus (COVID-19) has now infected 184 people in the country and the Health Minister Dr E.O. Ehanire now suspects community transmission of  the disease is on the rise, with potential deadly consequences.
Lagos still maintains the lead as the epicentre in Nigeria with 98 confirmed cases, followed closely by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 38 confirmed cases.
20 patients have been discharged according to the latest data by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Of the ten new cases reported on the 2nd of April, seven are in Lagos and three in the FCT.
‘’All new cases have mild to moderate symptoms and are currently receiving care,’’ the NCDC said.
The country’s situation is continuing to evolve rapidly and many more experts are warning of further spread even as the country scores with the number of discharged cases Thursday rising to 20 and deaths still at 2. They called on the authorities to enforce public health measures already in place in other to push back the community transmission which is still at early stage in the country.
