SAT, APRIL 11 2020-theG&BJournal-Nigeria so far has avoided a surge in confirmed cases and hospital bed occupancy is still very low. Lagos the epicentre, now has a total of 163 confirmed cases but recovery rate remains encouraging.
Nigerians however are getting increasingly worried with the rising number as new figures shows a leap to a total of 305, 17 new cases overnight-8 in Lagos, 3 in Katsina, 2 in FCT and 1 in Niger, Kaduna, Anambra and Ondo States. 58 cases have been discharged and 7 confirmed deaths.
19 states altogether now have reported cases of the coronavirus disease, suggesting the spread of the disease is not abating and prominent Nigerians are increasingly calling for a stay rather than a relaxation of the lockdown order now in place in most parts of the country.
