THUR, MAY 21 2020-theG&BJournal- Eight more people died Wednesday to bring the tally of the Nigeria’s coronavirus fatalities to 200 for the first, but sources say the number of dead have since surpassed that.
Another 284 new cases of the infection was also confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 1,840 patients have been discharged. The total number of people carrying the disease is now 6677 nationwide. 38,231 samples have also been tested nationwide.
According to the NCDC, 34 states of the federation have reported COVID-19 and 28 states have reported at least one fatality.
But the new cases reported Wednesday are from 13 states- Lagos(199), Rivers(26), Oyo(19), FCT(8), Borno (8), Plateau(7), Jigawa (6), Kano (5), Abia(2), Ekiti(1), Delta(1), Kwara (1), Taraba (1).
