The 6th edition of the Chinese Film Festival in France (CFFF) will begin on May 24, with a selection of 11 Chinese films released between 2015 and 2016.

Mr Su Xu, Director of the China Cultural Center in Paris, stated this on Tuesday.

“This year, the 6th CFFF will be held firstly in Strasbourg and then continue in several cities in France, including Lyon, Marseille, Cannes, Biarritz, and the island of Reunion,” he said.

He said that the inauguration ceremony of the event would take place in Paris on June 30, with the screening of the selected films, with the main actors as guests of honour.

While on the French side, French actress, Isabelle Huppert, would be the Guest of Honour and Anne Fontaine, French film director and Vincent Perez, director/ actor, would be the Ambassadors of CFFF.

Noel Garino, technical and artistic Advisor of CFFF, presented to the press the 11 films, including ” Crouching Tiger”, ‘Hidden Dragon 2″, “Monster Hunt” and “Mojin-The Lost Legend.”

Plazanet Michel, Deputy Director of European and International Affairs of the French National Center of Cinematography and the moving image , said that the festival was very good for China market.

“Chinese market, which is becoming the world’s largest market for film, and the festival, is very important to introduce the Chinese cinema,” he said.

As part of the event, the 6th Franco-Chinese film meetings will be held on May 13 at Cannes, with a roundtable on co-productions and Sino-European cooperation.

The 6th edition of the Chinese Film Festival in France (CFFF) will hold from May 24 to July 19.
