FRI, JANUARY 27 2017-Fidelity Bank plc has announced the appointment of Charles Aigbe as divisional head, brand and communications.
Until his new appointment, Aigbe, who started his career in the investment-banking with defunct Kapital Merchant Bank before moving into broadcasting, when he joined DBN Television in the mid 90s, was in charge as divisional head, marketing and corporate relations at United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) and overall head of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) functions in the Bank Group. He joined UBA in January 2002 from DBN where he was news controller/business editor.
Fidelity Bank CEO, Nnamdi Okonkwo said in a statement that the appointment is part of efforts to realign the communications function of the bank to the strategic vision of being number one in select markets.
Aibge’s appointment coincides with the recent re-branding and positioning of the Bank for what it calls its next growth phase.
“We welcome him to the Fidelity Bank family. We will work together, leveraging on our combined experiences to actualise all our growth initiatives and grow the Fidelity brand,” Okonkwo said.
Aigbe was elected as 1ST Vice President of the Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB)in 2015 .
