TUE AUG 05 2025-theGBJournal| Heirs Energies CEO Osa Igiehon, will share how Heirs Energies transformed OML 17 from an underperforming brownfield asset into a high-performing operation at the US-Africa Energy Forum (USAEF).

Considered as prime acreage conveniently located onshore next to Port Harcourt, the second industrial city of Nigeria and centre of the upstream oil industry, OML 17 covers a land area of approximately 1300km2 (c.320,000 acres).

The asset has a recent production capacity of 27,000 boe/d and has 2P reserves of 1.2 billion boe, with an additional 1 billion boe resources of further exploration potential.

The Forum also provides Igiehon opportunity to highlight the input of local expertise in the transformation process of OML 17, as well as reiterate his company’s firm commitment to sustainability.

The USAEF, which takes place on August 6 – 7 in Houston, Texas, connects the U.S. market with Africa’s vast energy sector opportunities. This year’s theme: US-Africa Partnership for Sustainable Energy Growth.
