WED, JANUARY 3 2018-theG&BJournal-As the founder of the Hilton Hotel group, Conrad Hilton’s dream of spreading the light through travel has taken a young, fresh and practical approach by [motion picture] story telling.

One of the industry’s largest chains and a major player in Africa’s hospitality industry, the group is sharing with the world their efforts of making a meaningful development in impact and difference, in each country they operate.

Leading an all female production crew of Girls aged ’10 to 15′ years old, the Worlds Youngest Film Maker and Girl Education advocate Zuriel Oduwole has now completed an exciting CSR pilot for her first scheduled Hilton Hotel in Africa – the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja. She shares the hotels story and impact in two Abuja communities, where Hilton has formed a definitive partnership that’s positively affecting lives.

A firm believer in the ‘New Economy’ and the need to teach non-academic skills to out-of-school youths and as part of schools curriculum, Zuriel launched her basic “Film Making 101 Class” in Namibia in February 2016. By November 2016, a [female] student from the film class had made a short 45 minute documentary, using a borrowed camera, and began shopping it to TV stations in the SADC region.

Two months later in Washington DC, Zuriel was honored by the US Secretary of State for her Girls Education programs in Africa and her creative partnerships in leading the effort to finding practical solutions for Africa’s unemployed youth population.
