…Directs NSEMA and Bida Local Government officials to take cost of the total damage
MON, MARCH 5 2018-theG&BJournal-Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello has sympathized with His Royal Highness, Etsu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar and victims of the unfortunate fire outbreak that engulfed Etsu Musa Main Market, Bida.
Governor Sani-Bello also assured victims of the fire incident of government support. He then directed Niger State Emergency Management Agency, NSEMA and Bida Local Government officials to take cost of the total damage of the fire outbreak with the view to ease the hardship of the victims.
He made this known on Friday when he paid visit to the scene of the incidence to sympathized with the victims and also to have on-the-spot assessment of damages. Niger State Emergency Management Agency, NSEMA, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and Local Government Emergency Management Agency, LEMA were on ground.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Alh. Muhammad Ahmad Kesto called on the people to take the incidence as a test from Allah, adding that government will assist in compensating the victims.
He also stated that the state together with the Local Government officials will look into possible ways of rebuilding the market into a modern one.
State Government delegation had its jumaat prayers in Bida and later paid a sympathy visit on His Royal Highness, Etsu Nupe in his Palace.
Stakeholders expressed delight over the prompt visit of the state government and prayers were offered in all major mosques in Bida for Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello, His Deputy, Alhaji Muhammad Ahmad Ketso and entire cabinet.
Those in the Deputy Governor’s eutourage include Secretary to the State Government, Alh.Ibrahim Isah Ladan, Chief of Staff, Mikail Al-Amin Bmitosahi, Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Zakari Abubakar, Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Commissioner for Transport, Engr Panti, Commissioner for Tertiary Education and Commissioner for Environment.
Others include APC State Chairman, Engr Jibrin Imam, APC State Secretary, Bar Liman Nku, Special Adviser, Special Duties, Alhaji Umar Alkali, Special Adviser, Zone A, Alhaji Takuma, APC Chairman, Bida LG,Alhaji Salisu Ndagi(Brisco).
The Deputy Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Ahmad Ketso was recieved at the scene by Chairman Bida LG,Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, Member Representing Bida 1 , Hon Alfa Kassim Bako and Member Representing Bida 11, Hon Haruna Mohammed Dokodza; Members of Bida Emirate Council led by Mayaki Nupe, Alhaji Yabagi Mayaki and Ndeji Nupe, Alhaji Abubakar Ndeji as well as the Chief Imams of Bida led by Alhaji Yakatun, Alh Jimada, Liman Masaba and Alhaji Muhammad
