MON FEB 03 2025-theGBJournal| Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri says the Prosperity Administration will not relent until the establishment of the Agge Deep Seaport is achieved.

The Governor who stated this when the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy Joint Project Steering Committee and Project Delivery Team on the Agge Deep Seaport paid him a courtesy visit in Government House Yenagoa said his administration would soon flag-off the construction of Ekeremor-Agge road.

He also urged investors to take advantage of the potential, saying they will not regret.

Leader of the team, Professor Busayo Fakinlede advised that when the port project is completed, the concession period should between 40 to 45 years.

Initiated by the Bayelsa State Government and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), the construction of the 7, 000ha Agge Deep Seaport will cost an estimated $3 billion on completion.

It will also include a free trade zone, to promote the industrial activities.
